-OC who doesn;t belong to MH fandom

We're going to re-open recruitation in February/March for those who wasn't able to make it, whose OC's wasn't approved because of the lack of pics or for the newcomers in MH Fandom.

Well Hello there Ghouls and Mansters!

Me and *misskimberlychaotic came up with the idea of X-Men Cosplay activity in our MH Fandom.
You do recognize those amazing Marvel's superheroes, right? Even If not you may still be interested, so read carefully...

We decided to make a little group of Ghouls and Mansters cosplaying X-Men. But nonono - it's not 100% cosplay, cause' you are going to give your OCs THEIR OWN POWERS!
Cool!

The group is OPEN TO EVERYONE

All you have to do is to draw your Monster High OC wearing a suit designed by you. Also, you have to tell us some things about your OC (Age, Weapon/Ability, etc.)

BUT WE HAVE RULES
Character Sheet Rules

. Following would be required on your design sheet application:
a) clean, scanned image *
b) colour (at least flat colour)
c) full body shot of your ghoul/manster wearing designed by yourself suit (more info in Suits Tutorial link)
d) your OC's weapon and/or ability (we would appreciate If you could show as your awesome ability by drawing an action shot with your OC using it)
e) NO BASES, sorry

* we recommend you submitting digital painting - guys it is not hard to at least outline image without a tablet - for example, because of my laziness I rarely connect my tablet when I'm outlining - actually I usually use it only for shading and colouring BUT IT IS Possible to colour and shade without a tablet.

We also require that each application sheets have the following listed:
a) Name of your OC
b) Weapon/Ability (description is needed if you haven't included an action shot pic with ability)
c) Likes/ Dislikes
d) We all love nicknames, don't we? Tell us what codename would your OC have!
e) Ability Description - look for it in 'ability rules'

GUYS! IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU USE READY TO USE OC REFERENCE SHEETS:

! ! ! When submitting a WIP sheet you have 2 weeks to update it with any progress. Otherwise we will remove your from 'used abilities' list and someone may claim your power.

Weapon Rules
We would love you to use your imagination. Please try to fit X-Men style.
a) We say NO To the weapons such as :
~medieval styled swords/bows,
~Wolverine claws...

Ability Rules
We don't want another Magneto, Xavier, Mystique. We all love them, but these abilities are NO:
-telepath, mindcontrol (yes, we know what would you do with these )
-creating laser lights also known as a beam of ruby-colored concussive force from eyes
-controling Ice, Fire, Earth, Water, Air (you can use these elementals in your original ability)
-manipulating with ALL kinds of metal items, creating force fields, creating magnetic fields
-absorbing energy
-shapeshifting
-telekinesis

These abilities are restricted. If you're not sure about your ability you can always ask us via Note or Comment.

Note that your character is limited to only one ability (it CAN be connected to Weapon) with max 2 benefits.

These abilities are used - that means it is too late for you to give them to your OC.

Since many many people have problem with limiting their powers (although we clearly stated: 1 ability, optional weapon connected with it, max 2 benefits) we are adding this little 'ability description' system which have to appear in the description under your OC sheet :

This system might help a bit so you can think about your OCs chosen power - if it sticks to the rules and if it is not too ... 'UBER SUPAH GOD-MODE'.

Banned ability benefit is : being immortal.
If you would like to add the following benefit to your OC's power please have in mind he/she needs to have weak point akaAchilles Heel
Without weak point of the immortality, we do not accept your entry.
While replying on :devalittleride:'s comment I realised that I missed pretty important benefit.
For example few X-men have powers that allows them to resist the effects of aging and/or death:
Like Emma Frost - While in her diamond form she doesn't age.
Or Collosos - Doesn't age while in steel form.
Or Storm, who became an elemental so it allows her to live forever as a force of nature.

From now on immortality benefit without 'achilles heel' is banned.

We accept entries till 1st of Decemeber - THIS GROUP IS OPEN TO EVERYBODY - we accept all ppl who are smart enough to understand these rules
At the end of the deadline me and Kim are going to check all entries - we have right to reject an entry if we find it not sticked to the rules or the artist is not active on dA/doesn't put enough effort/really low art level (and we assume he/she won't be able to do group challenges with others).
Please have in mind that we are looking for ppl who enjoy drawing, challenges and put effort in their art.
If we make enough members, this group activity will become separate group, so we can organise events and missions for you all!

Gah! I really wanna join this but boo-hoo, It's closed! Well, I guess I can prepare anyways. After slapping my face several times looking at the used powers in comparison to my OCs' abilities, I think I'm gonna use my OC Talia with her ability, appearance alteration. But the difference between her and Mystique (also other characters with the same or similar power) she cannot alter her face, just retracting her limbs.
